●愛大俳句会の元部長のO氏から電話。声を聞くのは卒業以来５６年ぶり。その声は全く聞いたことのない声になっていた。今では現俳協の理事。退職後は就職した地で地域おこしのために俳句で奮闘している様子。用事は彼が次の号から花冠に参加することだった。理由を聞きそびれたが、学生時代の彼の俳句とは別の印象の句になっている。著名な結社で修行を積んだようだ。たいていの大物俳人を講演に招いているいう話を聞いた。最後に「花冠を続けてください。」と念を押すように言ってくれた。俳誌が減少しつつあるという。

to my mother's old home,
placing the light.

つばめ来て母が家にも光り置き
In the rising sun,
the first swallow makes
its breast pure white.

初つばめ朝日に胸を純白に
